Can you tell me where you source your Sacred Clay and seaweeds from? If you source them from anywhere along the west coast of the US or Canada, how do you know it is not radioactive?
The Sacred Clay is sourced high in the Cascade Mountains near Crater Lake, Oregon close to the wilderness preserve, far away from any industry other than logging, and over 100 miles from the ocean. So, the clay would be far less likely to be contaminated than any food, fish or dairy source across most of America. Our seaweeds are sourced from a variety of origins, but none are sourced in close proximity to Japan. We test all of our seaweeds for radiation.
Your concern regarding radiation contamination of any food source is valid, yet we live in an age where radiation is coming at us from numerous sources, not just Fukushima, Chernobyl & war-torn countries like Bosnia, Iraq & Afghanistan (with their depleted uranium dust traveling the jet streams).
Radiation exposure is, and has been for decades, affecting us from local nuclear power plants, local chemical & electrical manufacturing plants toxifying underground & surface water, munition plants doing the same, nuclear testing sites (even when decades old), medical/dental diagnostic and treatment programs, flying in an airplane, solar flares, wireless technology, Smart Meters, microwave ovens, etc.
So, Fukushima radiation is merely an additional amount added to numerous other sources that have been there for many years now. The quantity of radiation we have been exposed to over the years, and the small amounts now coming from Fukushima, have been compounded by the additional amounts being released by our local nuclear power plants today using Chernobyl and Fukushima as a cover story (this is where most of the American radiation came from just following Fukushima & Chernobyl).
Our food, water and milk supplies have been radioactive to some degree for a number of years. And yes, it appears the numbers are climbing for all of the above reasons.
So what is the solution?
What we know about survivability rates of those exposed to the atom bomb attacks on Japan and after Chernobyl, is that clay, seaweeds/algae and certain ferments (whey, kombucha, miso), as well as certain herbs and mushrooms were very successful at mitigating radiation effects in the body. We also know that ocean salt, sea vegetables and clay are some of Nature's most effective methods of detoxifying the oceans over time.
Another worthy mention in ocean detoxification is the powerful effect that microbial life has in transforming toxicities in the ocean, some varieties of which have the specific job of reducing radioactive material by breaking it down, or supporting mineral bondings which convert it into non-radioactive components.
Given the prevalent amounts of radiation in our environment and life habits (i.e. medical/dental treatments, microwave ovens, cell phone & cell tower radiation, wireless phones, Smart Meters and computer WIFI, etc.), the preferred route to removing radiation (assuming physical relocation is not practical) is to be sure to obtain the best mitigation sources possible.
The most effective internal radiation removal approaches we have at our disposal today are clay & humic earth taken internally coupled with clay baths, followed by seaweeds & algae, mushrooms, soil-based organism probiotics (SBOs), foods high in glutathione (like whey and asparagus), along with herbs known to be radio protective. In combination with our own body's natural defense mechanisms, even if small amounts were in a seaweed or clay, the person consuming the above would be far more effective at reducing radiation than not.
This does not mean that we need to consume known radioactive foods or water (especially if heavily saturated beyond its natural ability to bond with or neutralize radiation), just that we have already been doing so for some time now, and that these things were just not made known to us.
Dairy products are more likely to concentrate radiation effects than a clay or seaweed. Marine fish also have less ability to mitigate radiation than a seaweed, in that, unlike the fish, one of the main purposes of a seaweed is to neutralize toxins (which it is able to do so to some degree without retaining radioactivity until super-saturated). Radiation is a heavy metal. Seaweeds, much more so than fish, neutralize heavy metals in a similar way that a clay will neutralize a heavy metal – by preforming a mineral/metal bondings with it to turn the heavy metal into something inert.
Sea animals of today (especially the bottom feeders) are more likely to become over-saturated with toxins than sea vegetables or clay, since seaweeds, algae & clay are capable of carrying heavier toxic loads before becoming overwhelmed. For this reason, I would trust a seaweed and a clay before I would trust a fish or fish oil. Fats in general, absorb chemicals and heavy metal toxins as a way of isolating the toxin from the body in a protective attempt, but are not as effective at transforming the toxin or heavy metal into inert compounds as clays or sea vegetables are.
Besides Fukushima, are these other radioactive sources in our food and environment having an effect on us? Most certainly - they have been contributing to the degradation of our society's health for decades now. Can we reduce this effect? Most certainly, Nature has always had the most powerful answers (it is up to us to discover what they are and how to use them).
Are clay & seaweeds (along with other food sources in the oceans and farms from the west coast) a problem? There is that possibility, especially if the region the clay or seaweeds are found in are downstream from a local nuclear power plant, munitions storage or munitions manufacturing/dismantling facility, or other industries whose practice has been for decades to dump toxic waste into our soils, rivers, lakes and oceans.
The tests that I have seen so far, however, of seaweeds from Alaska (closer to Japan than the west coast, show zero signs of radioactivity. Since the ocean's vast abundance of seaweeds, ocean salt, underground volcanic vents, clay sediment, ocean microbes and algae are utilized by Nature to detoxify the ocean, it is much more difficult to over-saturate the ocean with radiation than a manmade object, rainwater, snow, or certain land plants.
All fruit and vegetable crops, meat sources and water supplies of today are exposed in a similar fashion to radioactive rain and snow, and have been for decades. So, wisdom suggests the use of clay, humic earth and sea vegetables as soil amendments and Arial sprays in our garden and farms to provide the greatest possible levels of radiation protection for our food and water supplies.
Clay and sea vegetables are traditionally used to clean up radiation effects in the human body and in the environment. Clay was used in Chernobyl to bury their reactor and is commonly used to cover radioactive waste sites. Those that consume clay & sea vegetables regularly reduce in their own body the effects of radiation exposure.
While the hype over Fukushima radiation is abundant, the truth is, our local sources spewing radiation are far greater in concentration, and far more toxic to us today, than the extremely diluted amounts arriving from Fukushima. Wind and ocean currents diffuse toxicity in the ocean in much the same way the winds diffuse the smells from your local restaurant, or brewery, or chemical smokestack over several miles until it seems undetectable to the senses.
Is the chemical pollution still present in the air 50-100 miles away? Absolutely, it is just heavily diffused. Will it still affect us? Absolutely, to some degree. Yet, the truth about the therapeutic value of low level radiation will surprise most people. Here is a technical study on the life extending effects of low level radiation (Radiation Hormesis) compared to life depleting effects of high levels of radiation.
What can we do to mitigate the toxic environment we live in daily? Take more clay baths, eat more clay, drink whey and eat asparagus (two glutathione-rich sources), consume mushrooms in a stir fry with meals (porcini seems to be good as a radioactive cesium detoxifier, as are clays & humic earth), build the SBO content in the gut, and consume lots of seaweeds & algae (abundant in Sea Vegetable Blend with Moringa, Vital Cleanse & Nutrify, Earth & Sea Greens, and Thyroid Balance).
I am not saying life on earth today is an easy thing to navigate, just that we have to do all we can to improve things in the best ways we know how. Nature has not left us without answers. We just have to grasp how simple and powerful her natural resources are and learn how to use them for our benefit.
