Navigating a World of Constant Change
We live in a world today of constant upheaval and change. Old paradigms are crumbling, new ones are emerging. For those who are able to see the profound good in such seeming chaos, this is clearly the most engaging age to be a part of.
We live in the age of the pioneer. As a global society we are blazing new trails, developing new ways of living together as a global community, and establishing more conscious ways of doing business, educating our brilliant young children, and living together as families.
More than ever before, we need to know how to make wise choices as we navigate through the day-to-day impact these changes are having on our lives. A skill of this nature is essential if we are to be effective when:
Our lives today require a magnitude of decision-making unprecedented in times past. We can no longer afford the time it takes for the strictly trial and error approach, sifting through the list of books, and social or religious norms.
Just how to make a decision that is right the first time is an art, a life skill of utmost importance today.
Is There a Way to Know?
Is there a way to always know when the choice you are about to make is the right one? Were we created, just to flounder through an endless series of trial and error experiences only to live in a constant state of uncertainty, or were we given an innate, built-in system designed to give us the right answer the first time, and every time?
From a life devoted to searching for answers, I’ve discovered that being certain about an answer is very possible – and it requires a refined approach that is not taught in our schools and universities.
There are skills to develop and a level of inner clarity that is essential to your success. Allow me to outline what I’ve discovered to be the simplest, most powerful, and most effective decision-making process for making both large and small decisions alike on a moment-by-moment basis.
Purpose is Paramount
The most important consideration to focus on when making a decision is the relationship of this decision to your overall purpose in life.
You will not hear of such a consideration in colleges or public schools, but isn’t this question of soul purpose one of the most important questions that you will ever ask yourself?
It is your soul purpose that provides both meaning and value to your every life experience.
Discovering the exact nature of your life purpose is the topic of another discussion. Yet, even without a full understanding of your purpose, you can still surround your decision-making with a background intent to best fulfill your true soul purpose, whatever it may be.
That intent, preferably well-defined with feelings (rather than just the mind), sets the stage for the most important vantage point for your answers to come from.
Vantage Points
Vantage points are perspectives that can be drawn from many angles such as parental programming, academics, TV, movies, religious values, and the like. None of these vantage points, however, will be able to provide you with the most accurate standard upon which to base a decision for your unique life situation. The reason for this is largely because the standards of these special interest groups change from day-to-day based on the whims of that group. There is nothing consistent among these socially determined values.
The Vantage Point of the Soul
A vantage point can also come from the perspective of your soul. Your soul is fully aware of the single most important standard upon which to base a decision – your unique purpose in life. Out of immense love for you, your soul will always provide insights based within the framework of your individual purpose.
Soul
Your soul is multidimensional. Without going into the details, it is important to know that there is a part of your soul that remains in complete harmonious communion with the Creator. This is the part of you that carries the most accurate assessment of what is best for you in any given moment.
What is best for you in this moment is known only by two fundamental sources – The Creator and your soul, and it is left up to you (the subsequent creation of both), to align yourself with that knowledge, assuming you desire the most fulfilling outcome.
If you are able to remain in complete harmony with the Creator and your soul, then the knowing of what is best in any given moment will naturally and spontaneously rise up from the innermost depths of your being on an ongoing basis.
Until that level of inner clarity is achieved, this alignment with your soul is something that will be practiced on a day-to-day basis until it becomes second nature.
This inner source of answers from the soul is infinite in scope. It takes into account the infinite number of possible alternatives, as well as the multidimensional effect such a choice will have on your entire being. Answers from this true source of your being are always accurate.
Answers from the Soul
An answer from the soul rises to the surface as an intuitive knowing – something that is felt, rather than figured out.
The biggest challenge for most will be in stepping away from decision-making based primarily on the mental approach (which largely comes from societal programming) or the impulse emotional approach (which largely comes from subconscious emotional imprints).
Intuitive Knowing Rises from the Genius Within
When the mind and the emotions become one, a doorway to the infinite is opened. Intuitive knowing now becomes possible.
Intuitive knowing comes only as a result of blending both mind and emotion into a single heart-felt experience. When the male and female aspects of your being come together and become one, a child is conceived in the inner self. This child is a point of illumination that can only be known through your sense nature – intuitively.
Knowing something, without mentally calculating it first, is the art and practice of geniuses worldwide. When a genius is capable of doing extreme math in his or her head, the answers are not calculated as with a calculator. They are simply known. The answers come to them in symbols, colors, textures and feelings.
These are also the many ways that soul and Creator communicate with us. To learn this language is to develop the skill of the natural-born genius.
The Language of the Soul
The gift to all mankind is that we each possess a direct line to our soul, and through the soul, a direct line to the Creator.
Answers also follow this same path from the Creator, through the soul to our conscious mind. The secret to the recognition of an answer is to learn the language of the soul, and to trust what you “hear” from soul more than the mental and emotional boxes handed to you from parents, school, the media, and religion.
When the soul speaks, it speaks primarily with gentle feelings attended by an illumination (a knowing). Sometimes symbols, images, colors, textures, and other sensations will accompany the feelings as well.
Discernment
To discern whether these feelings are the voice of the soul, rather than the voice of the mind or the emotions only, you simply notice where in your body is the answer being felt the strongest.
If the answer is felt primarily in the head (typical of the worries that keep us awake at night) then you have not yet heard the voice of your soul. If the answer is felt primarily in the gut (typical of the anger that dominates our focus when we feel betrayed or offended) then you have not yet heard the voice of your soul.
If, on the other hand, the answer is primarily felt in the heart – then you are listening to the voice of your soul.
Conditions of the Heart
Sensations in and around the center of the chest indicate you are feeling the messages from your heart. Where our hearts are clear and free to access the voice of the soul, the intuitive knowings from deep within flow freely through.
Where the heart is wounded, a blind spot will naturally exist. Blind spots are recognized by their characteristic dullness, a state of no feeling there, or feelings of pain, hardness, judgment, or fear. These are places where the heart is absent. A gap in the heart brings about an inability to feel, and therefore know, what would have otherwise filled that gap.
This is where inner clarity will affect whether you will be able to fully “know” the answer to your quest.
Inner healing is beyond the scope of this description, but if you want to learn more about how to heal layers of pain, trauma and fear in a matter of minutes, consider “The Gentle Art of Self-Healing” DVD or a Private Intuitive Consultation during which you will learn how to identify and quickly transform the original cause of an issue unique to your life path. In preparation for such, I suggest the following article and audio: Emotion-Packed Imagery- The Secret to Manifestation.
Even still, with a little practice, there are sensations that take place within your body that will give you a clue as to whether an alternative you are considering is the right one or not for you.
How to Know Which Choice is Best for You:
1)Choose to stay within the focus of your soul purpose.
2)Bless the current situation, and then take 3 or more deep breaths. (This sets the stage for the best of possible outcomes to follow.)
3)Contemplate an option. Then get out of your head, step away from pure emotions, and focus on the sensations taking place in the center of your chest.
4)Notice the effect that the option being considered has on your entire body at once, all the while staying focused on the heart.
5)The wrong choice feels like a decreasing level of vitality that depresses the root chakra energy (a blowout feeling at the bottom tip of the spine). This energy, that would normally fill your entire aura if you were fully engaged in your life purpose, is decreased by choices that pull you away from what is purposeful to you.
6)The wrong choice carries heavy judgment, revenge, self-denial, avoidance, anger, despair, power, control, or fear.
7)The wrong choice leaves you with a giddy excitement about future possibilities (ungrounded in its practical application).
8)The wrong choice compels you to spend great lengths of time mentally calculating the financial rewards, or doing “due diligence” investigation and preparation.
9)The right choice feels like an ascending energy from the tip of your spine resulting in an opening of your heart with a balanced feeling of both vitality and relaxation in your entire chest region (and affecting your whole body).
10)The right choice leaves you with a serenity, a peace, a knowing that it is the best choice, even if all the reasons why are not apparent.
Negotiating the complexity of modern life requires a greater degree of skill than in years past due to the complexity of options before us today, many of which do not serve our best interests.
Developing the skill of soul-based, purpose-oriented decision-making is an essential life skill that comes with rewards which include greater wealth, better health, a more engaging occupation, deeper levels of self-confidence, closer relationships, and a more fulfilling life overall – a life skill well worth the effort to develop.
Many blessings of health & success,
Enjoy the simplicity of a purpose-oriented life!
